Austin, the progressive and tech-savvy Texas State capitol city, is about to get greener and progressively more clean if Joshua Fitzgarrald has anything to do with it.
Joshua and his family recently returned from a two and a half year deployment in Asia with the Marine Corps, completing an 18-year active duty career. (He now serves in the Marine Corps Reserves.) During the last year of his tour, he learned about a franchise opportunity with Zerorez in Austin and became extremely excited about the culture, history and growth of the City. Along with his wife, who's a native Texan, and having served with many Texans in the Marines, he states, "I know that Texas, as a whole, is a very proud state with a great degree of patriotism and opportunity. It's a place that my family and I want to be a part of and make it our home."
Zerorez is proud to have a number of Military Veterans in its ranks, including Captain Joshua Fitzgarrald.
"Whether on the battlefield or in the customer's home, the principles of serving are the same. Embodying these principles, Zerorez' mission, goals and services are something I believe in, desire to be a part of and aspire to press forward in the Austin Area," said Captain Fitzgarrald.
According to Rick Arnold, Chief Operating Officer at Zerorez Franchising Systems, Inc., "We are really delighted with the caliber of Franchisees who are joining our system. Joshua and others like him demonstrate the great power of American Veterans to have an impact on American businesses. Now that we are part of the International Franchise Association's VetFran program, we expect to expand our military presence with even more great individuals who have learned to work, to serve and to lead."
VetFran® was founded in 1991 by the late Don Dwyer Sr., founder of the Dwyer Group, to say "thank you " to our veterans who were then returning from the first Gulf War. After the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, the International Franchise Association (IFA) re-launched a campaign to assist U.S. Veterans and their families during the difficult time.
VetFran member companies have grown into a large network of over 650 franchised brands that voluntarily offer financial discounts, mentorship, and training for aspiring veteran franchisees and veterans seeking employment. VetFran's most recent survey shows that over 203,000 veterans and military spouses have found opportunities in the franchise industry as either employees or franchise owners. There are over 5,600 veterans that have become franchise business owners since 2011.
Arnold also commented, "It is very exciting to see our presence in Texas expand. Our very roots were in the Houston area with our founders, and our Dallas franchise has been operating successfully for 13 years! We see great things ahead for Zerorez in Texas as well as across these great United States!"
When asked about his extensive preparations to open the Austin Zerorez location, Joshua remarked, "My most enjoyable part of training in Dallas over the past month and a half has been learning to serve customers the Zerorez way. Zerorez offers homeowners the only proven and patent-pending method to clean their homes the right way without leaving any residue behind."
Zerorez has grown significantly in the past year, and has recently opened franchised locations in Seattle, WA, and Pittsburgh, PA, with new locations opening in the next few months in Albany, NY, and Washington D.C.
The Zerorez concept was launched in 2001, based on its Zr Clean™️ cleaning system, The founders wanted to fundamentally change the carpet and living surfaces cleaning industry. Their answer was a comprehensive process using Zr Clean™️ , which is electrolyzed and oxidized to create a powerful cleaning solution without harmful toxins, soaps or detergents. Their research found that other cleaning processes leave a residue, which naturally attracts more dirt and bacteria, so they fail to truly provide a lasting clean. Developing the Zerorez cleaning process resulted in Zero Residue®, a clear superior advantage for the brand.
